Remember that comment made by the editor of SCC a while back in response to why aren't there more RX-7 articles....well....I'm assuming that this is their way to make up for it. They may have hustled to find an RX-7 article to print.
Yeah what is up with that, when I shoot my 300z it only took 6 months for the feature to hits the newsstand and as far as I know I talk to some of the editors and they also told me that it will take as long as 6 months to get the feature but no longer than that, that is why I was wondering why the hell it take so long for the feature. Yup that letter by one of our forum members might of get on there mine and that is to make up for it. I mean I don't know what the hell is wrong but the car deserves it though and the photos was taken by Henry Z. DeKuyper who is one of the leading photographer for McMullenargus publications maybe he is the guy that can answer the questions to why it took them so long for the features and he is the guy who shot one of my car and when he is the photographer you can almost guarantee that it will be feature and fast also. That is just not right and also if you guy read the letter by the new SCC editor in the February/02 issue of SCC that have the silver 300Z on the front cover, his speech of one of his article was really unprofessional and I thought what is up with SCC editors and their staff lately. They need to get their act together.

I think my car is worth a couple page spread myself....still have a few more things I want to do, but it's very close...

ofcourse I want to dyno it...cause I dont want to make up numbers...I dont have huge power anyways..

gordon : nice car...it's nice to see us a "sort of" plain looking FD exterior wise make the mags...I get a little tired of seeing body kit only cars make it....

hey you should do what I did with the articles I got from sports car international. Cut them out of the MAG lay them flat on the scanner, and then send them to steve at www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/
he has a section on that webpage where he has a bunch of magazine articles archived. This way we can go back and read the article over and over if we want. While there, check out the articles from SCI the writing from those guys is sooooo much better then most of the other magazines out there. The articles I sent in to steve were all I could find from the back issues of sports car intl.

Very nice car, and so very deceptive! Looks so stock from the outside, and with so many mods done. But my only question is why after throwing so much money in almost every area did you get Autometer gauges? Why not a nice Defi set?

Much props to you GMonen! It's about time someone from the forum represent us rotorheads. Especially a fine example like your car. Best of both worlds. Performance and straight line acceleration. An 11.2 1/4 mile is already way too fast for the street yet alone embarrass top-end (exotics) at the autocross/circuits. That does suck that it took SCC this damn long to put you in the mag when they took it when, in 2000 like AARotary said above. Wheww! Like i said keep representing!

Hey guys just saw the article and had a question about the engine bay. Gordon has a metal box around the turbo is it a heat shield? or what? Sorry if it;s a lame question, didn't read the article yet just stopped by the store in between classes. Thanks

later Gun

I remember Gordon having a lot of problems with melting wires, and hoses, burning hoodliner etc after he had the T78 put in. That is a custom heat shield to keep the hood from turning into a range oven.

hey gordon, in the article, i read that you put in a bigger and lighter garret wheel in the t78. can you shed some light on this? i have a t78 and was looking to upgrade to a t88 but a compressor upgrade for my t78 would be cheaper. where did you get this done at and how does it run? and before and after dynos?

Thanks in advance,
Vic
