Question spin turn **** installation

does anyone happen to know how to put a spin turn **** on to a fd's ebrake? this would be the the little button which replaces the stock one and can allow someone to hold the ebrake button in.

thanks

holy crap!!! how did you even manage to fine this post hehe, its sooooo old! in anycase, you just basically unscrew (counterclockwise) the stock plastic one (you might need to take a pair of vise grips to get a good hold), take out the spring and screw the spin turn **** on. If you wanna know how to make your own, you can do so easily by taking a machine screw and a button of wood or plastic (im talking about a peice which looks kinda like a small mushroom or the like) and drilling a hole in your stock plastic ebrake button. you then just screw it into the stock plastic button and paint it whatever color you like. you then just replace it minus the spring as mentioned above. personnaly i make mines out of putty/moldable epoxies which seem to work very well. just make sure to make the foot end of the mushroom button is the same diameter of the stock ebrake button so that it can clear the leather which is around the ebrake handle.

As for does it work, hell yes it does!!! no more need to worry about if the ebrake is still up after you yank it and start sliding I can't even count how many times mines has locked up a bit after pulling it. true it might not have really made a difference physically as our ebrakes are not so strong in stock form but physiologically its a brain buster (for me at least). if you have any experience in sliding around in a fd, you should know that the time you must dedicate to countersteering is so high that ever milisecond that you can save can make a difference from hanging your *** out and having a good time to going into that wall or over that cliff at over 50mph...

now for a more important question, WTF AM I DOING UP AT 5:30AM???
