Question Battery Relocation: Driver's or Passenger's

So I am about 2 seconds from hacking my bins and was thinking about weight distribution. Now, I know that moving it back is already shifting the weight further back, however the central location somewhat negates that effect.

my questions are these:

With the great job that the Mazda engineers did of balancing the FD, would moving this to the passengers side affect my left/right balance adversely?

Would I be better off putting it in the drivers bin?

I would assume that the engineers counterbalanced the weight from left to right as well as front to back.

I know this may not be a fair question, since I have shifted a lot of weight around going single, but was just wondering which side would be better. After I get done I plan on having it weighed and try to move some of the weight around to regain balance, but just didn't want to cut BOTH bins.

i'm pretty sure i read on here someone got alot of crap from the tech at a drag strip about the battery being behind the drivers seat, so i'm putting it behind the pass seat on mine. i know its not really what you were asking, but its another thing to consider

i own a set of chassis scales. the battery should go in the pass side compartment and due to the fact you are not only tanking weight off the front of the car but moving it to the rearward you will be surprised at how much it helps rear weight bias.

a very good mod.
