Speedometer stoped working

I was driving around earlier for about an hour and when I was a couple of miles from home I got on it one last time before I took it easy and let her cool down a little. I wasn't paying attention to the speedo until I let off the gas and I noticed it was at 0.

I'm gonna search later to see what to check and how to fix it (busy watching basketball right now....Grizzlies getting stomped on )....but I thought it was wierd that it would just quit like that....so I thought I'd share

good news..... I went to drive it again to check and see if it was a fluke or if it was really broken..... at first it was still sitting at zero and the milage wasn't going up either...... I was thinking great I get to spend all day tomorrow troubleshooting this..... I turned around and was heading back home and at the same spot as before I stepped on it and all of a sudden it started working again ohh well.....I'm just glad it's working.....plus I learned some about the speedometer and speed sensor from searching other threads.... so next time I'll know what to check....and knowing is half the battle (sorry somehow the old GI Joe cartoons popped into my head there)

I have problems with my speedometer too, but mines a little bit different. My speed meter is not working properly. Once it climbs up, it doens't wants to return back down. Sometime, when I slightly push on the gas pedal, the speed meter will star to climb, but I'm not going that fast and the speed.. whats wrong with my meter???
