Speedo fix for smallish tires

When I got my 17" rims and the Kumhos they came with (both used), I noticed that the speedometer seems to read high. No, I haven't thought to check it against mile markers, but I don't think my 17" wheels would make my 0-60 time 0.2 second quicker!

Anyway, has anybody heard of a way to adjust/calibrate/fix the speedometer so that it reads correctly with non-stock tire diameters?

It would probably be easier just to get the proper size tires for a 17-inch wheel. 225/45, 245/40, 255/40, 285/30
