What iam wondering is are the auto and manual speed sensors interchangeable?
iam going to keep the stock 3.90 auto diff when I swap to manual and iam wondering if I can just swap in the autos speed sensor to correct the speedo. any help would be great.

No they will most likely tell you to search. I know, anytime I ask a question on a 5 speed swap they say search.

My suggestion, if you want a good resource of help goto the aussie rotary forums. They are more than happy to help even if the topic has been beaten to death.

just my experiance.

well they have different part numbers...So they are different...
but from here POST #11

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=speed+sensor

you dont need them plugged, the speed sensor would be nice though, as it tells you how fast you are going, and it bolts right off the auto tranny and onto the manual tranny
Compare the before and after to make 100% that there is a difference. It doesn't take long to change the sensor!
