spark plugs problem, have you had this too?

ok guys, since i bought the car, it was running like ****, i always had a big hesitation when i got over 3500-4000 rpm till redline. So i changed the plugs and the wires, it worked for two weeks and then started doing it again.

After turning the car upside down for a year and wasting a lot of money, decided to change my plugs again to know that finally, it was my problem. I had installed the 9 all around which i tought would be my problem.

i changed them and wow, everything is going extremely well, the car never felt as good and as fast as that.

2500 miles later, it starts doing it again... Am i suppose to change the plugs every 2500 miles???

what could be wrong, why the hell are they getting bad after such a short period???

by the way, it seems to be less worst when the car is really hot, meaning it ran for a while (half an hour or more).

thanks for any help

puma

Yeah, that's what people mean by "when the car gets warm'. The needle has been in the warm for 20 min but it takes a while for it to "feel" warm.

I'd say the plugs start going bad after 5k min. I don't know if we'll ever get a solution that fixes all our cars.

Did you feel the wires snap on the plugs? You can feel it, it's hard to hear though. Did you make sure you pushed the wires on good and the metal connector snaped over the plug end? Did you make sure you didn't mix up the wires?

I wanted to get all 9's but couldn't. THe dealer only had 7 leading. $11 at the dealer, $13 at Kragen, $18 at Pep Boys and only the dealer has them in stock. I should have bout them at Racing Beat on friday.

Well I sand blast my plugs with every oil change and on the 4th or 5th change(every 1000 miles) I replace them. They do just fine.
HOLY MOLY! You change your oil every 200 miles!?? so basically every gas up? wow!

Is there a good cheap place online to get the 9's??

Sorry, I was actually posing the question to puma. You can actually get the cheap plugs at like Discount Auto for like $3 apiece. They'll last like 2000 miles.

Don't want to do that, the copper ones are better. The Platinums cost more and are made to last longer. Which shouldn't matter if you change them every 5-15k miles.

Exactly my point. Let's just say someone's using the copper plugs & doesn't realize how quickly they wear, it's gonna seem like something else is wrong with the car.

However, he is using the platinums so let's can this one.
