spark plug wire question

what kind of spark plug wires do you guys use? and why is there such a large difference in resistance per foot between different types and brands. I just bought a set of Accel 300+ thundersport wires from some guy on ebay for $25 and they have 150 ohm/foot resistance while other wire sets i have seen advertise resistance in the thousands/foot. What are the advantages and disadvantages between the varying resistance levels?

By the way, i think i got screwed because in the ad he claimed the set was good for both 2nd and 3rd gen rx-7s. But i just checked the accel homepage and they have two different sets for 2nd and 3rd gens. He sent the one for the 2nd gen. I have a '95 with pettit intake, dp, catback, and power fc.

Magnecore wires seem popular.

Garfinkle makes set from MSD ,8mm wire for his costomers. The wire is 40 ohms per foot. None have gone bad yet .
