Sparco Torinos in an FD
Does anyone know FOR SURE that the Torinos will fit in an FD with the stock rails? Just want to verify before I lay out the cash. Thanks.

no
Torinos will not just bolt in - you will need to make a custom rail, or import one. The seat is very wide too, I believe one of the side adjusters has to come off so they will fit in the car. Not a drop in replacement.
Notice most FD's have either Mazdaspeed, Bride, or Recaro seats...

basically, the holes on the seats where the rails are SUPPOSE to bolt on to arent spaced far enough. so brackets needs to be made to extend the holes.
i bought a 1x1 steel bar and cut it into (4) 2.5 inch long sections. i drilled 2 holes in each of the steel peices (size hole depends on the bolts used and given). 1 hole to keep the bracket on the seat, and the other hole to attach the rails to the bracket. drill the holes so that the holes on the rail will line up with the holes on the bracket. so its about 1 inch gap between the holes.
your basically making extensions for the rail mounts. if the rail mount lines up with the seat, you dont need brackets.
