sounds like a goose(weezing sound)

i just got done installing my greddy intake and v-mount ic...my boost pattern is 10-8-10 ...but now under acceleration i have a sound that sounds like a goose (a weezing sound)
i got rid of my moo sound, but thought it still might be my air pump...
so i unplugged it and it still makes the (weezing sound)

i took off my filters and went for a drive down the street and it still does it...

i searched and saw one thread to unplug the check valve under the pressure chamber, went for a drive and it still does it...

any help, or ideas would be great..thanks

If I read the post right he is saying this is not the MOO, and that it happens under hard acceleration...

With the engine running open the hood and hold the idle at 4-5 rpm. If air still rushes out of the air relief valve afte the air pump turns off you might have a problem with the check vavle or the air relief valve in the air control valve. You can test the bov the same way, sometimes the bov leaks under throttle. Read the secondary air injection section in the fuel and emissions control systems from http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/

It will tell you everything you will ever want to know.

Is it only under boost or acceleration out of boost? If it is only while there is possitive pressure you most likely have a clamp loose that is vibrating, a bad gasket betweent the turbos and y pipe, or something between the turbos and throttle body isnt exactly right. Check all that all bolts are tight and all couplers and clamps are installed correctly.

it starts the weezing sound around 3-4lbs of boost(under acceleration)about 2/3 throttle or WOT

im gonna take all the intake piping off and take the intercooler and piping off start over from the beginning ...see what happens ...(efini y-pipe is going to be my next purchase) elminates one more coupler...

keep the ideas coming ....and that link doesn't lead me to a main site ...

Can you make the sounds happen at idle by pulling the throttle cable? You should be able to get 3-4 PSI at idle before the BOV vents.

i was wrong it does it at idle also ...its just easier to hear when im moving ...its louder when im moving also...
it starts around 2500rpm all the way to redline ...
at idle it starts about 4-4500rpm...not as hear to hear, but its there..
my buddy described it as if you were pulling the end of a balloon ,letting the air out...

Can you get an idea where its coming from by revving the engine with the throttle linkage (and your head under the hood)?

I had something similar in the past and it was a crack in the hose from my y-pipe to the BOV. It made a horrible sound as the car built boost.

Sounds like a boost leak. Check that the couplers are installed well, and that there are no tears.

well i took everything off (couplers, crv, bov, intakes,etc..)
anyway it stopped doing it at idle....but on the street right after it hits over 4psi, the sound is back....only thing i can think it might be, is the y-pipe coupler...i had a boost leak (it was the y-pipe coupler, ripped)
i used one of the older y-pipe couplers left over from the v-mount install, i have perfect boost pattern
but the coupler looked pretty old....went to the auto parts store (know one has a coupler in stock) think ill just order the 99 y-pipe...

the only other thing it might be is the chair leg cap(i used for the moo sound)
or maybe the greddy elbow.... any thoughts...
also does the greddy elbow need a gasket on it???

and i forgot the check valve under the pressure chamber that goes to the y-pipe....was missing when i found my boost leak so i pick up a one way check valve at the parts store , think that could do it???

You can't locate even the general area of the noise by revving the engine with your hand on the throttle cable and your head under the hood?

There are many places in the car that have air passing through them. Any of them can make a strange noise if there is a problem. Narrowing down the location can help people make better suggestions.

There is no gasket between the intake elbow and the throttle body. But there is an o-ring that goes between the two. You should see the groove for the o-ring on the throttle body mating surface to the elbow.

I've known people to have whistling sounds from faulty or cheap check valves. Whether that's your problem or not, I couldn't say.

Did you check the gaskets between the turbos and ypipe??? Its obviously related to pressure so it can only be a certain number of locations. I say, pull the piping again, replace all clamps with t-bolt clamps, inspect the gaskets I mentioned above, and check for the o-ring between throttle body and elbow as mahjik suggested.

no im going to order the 99 y-pipe ...and ill replace those gaskets when it comes in ...
i bought a vacuum pressure pump(at harbor freight)...tested the bov hose ...the crv hose ...there all good...tested the bov , and tested the crv ...there both good...
the crv valve ...when i hooked the pump up to it...and blew through it ...it somewhat made the sound i hear just not as loud...
anything i could do to lube it...some oil or anything...

also this $#!t makes me want to go single turbo even more...

The CRV should close about 4200 or so RPM's to allow your secondary boost to build just before it comes online. If you are hearing the noise from 4200 and up and getting a good boost pattern, its not the CRV.

Unfortunately that's the way it goes sometimes. Sometimes, you just need to undo what you did and do it again to fix the problem.
