i misquoted. the acutal figure is around $1200: 15 hours of labor @ $75 an hour + parts.

Have you checked for any rotary specialty shops in your area? Mazda has been known to do more damage than repair when it comes to rotaries, and this model in particular.

I would really do it yourself, why you might ask?

Well...

1: could be fun to find out how to actually do things for yourself and know its done correctly
2: saving all that cash=money for better mods, i mean damn man you'll be 1/2 way to another engine core/single turbo upgrade or beable to afford a ECU upgrade or what ever... 1200 bucks is a 1200 bucks man

Then again, if you can afford it and if your time is worth more money then that, just pay someone to do it. Personnaly I dont got that kinda cash to just throw around. If I did, I'd be driving a Viper or 360 Modena

BTW: A MD makes about 100 bucks an hour, who knew a Mazda trained mechanic could make damn near as much replacing a couple of nuts and a metal gasket hahaha
