sometimes i'd rather not think about how much i've spent!

i was sitting here bored at work making a list of all the mods i could remember having. without minor stuff, just the major, i've spent $16,500 in mods only. not counting replacements parts! on top of that, i'm gettin ready to drop some money on a paint job, buy a t78, get suspension, and buy wheels. i've only had the car since september of 2002. now i know why they call them money pits. the sad thing is, i don't feel like i've accomplished a whole lot into getting the whole project done yet. i'm only 21, with no extra funding except what i've made working on my own. it's kinda sad i've spent this much money, but i don't regret it one bit when i'm driving her!

People drop 40-50 grand on new cars all the time. Granted, they get a warranty, Nav/DvD and all the other frills associated with todays latest rides. However, I'd be willing to be a majority of those 40-50K rides do not bring their owners NEAR the enjoyment the FD brings us. The FD also brings us some pains, however, without the bad, the good doesn't seem so good.

Considering I've only got about 20K in mine and it's running fine. I have about another 20K to do before I even have to start making the comparison.

I'd rather go to my grave then part with this car.

This is all above and beyond the purchase price, First one 18K second 19K (But I got an insurance check for 19K for the first one...)

I dropped about 10K on the '94 before I wrecked it, and have about 18k into this one, after moving most of the stuff I had spent money on on the '94 across.

The good news is the car has less than $ 2000.00 of debt left on it Maybe I should pay that back, before I go and spend $$ on a Turbo Nah ! Turbo's more fun !

I still have a couple of things I have for sale... 4 GAB 8 Way Adjustable Shocks... and a Racing Beat Air Inlet Mod... and a Red Painted R1 Spoiler....

You do realize with the money you've already spent that you could have installed a 20b yourself.

yeah, well i don't plan on having to have the support to tune and maintain a 20b either. plus i don't need that kind of power. most of these are just supporting mods anyways. i don't pay anyone to do all my work, so none of that is labor, just parts

I think whats best is to have your car where you are happy with it overall and then slowly add things as you desire. Everyones unhappy because they cant have everything they want on it right at this moment but if you think about it you would probably get bored and not enjoy the car as much. Now not having something critical on the car is different that will cause stress and a **** feeling every time its driven
