Something new broke... my driver side seat!!!!

Alright so I was vacuuming my car and I went to vaccume under my driverside seat, I lift the handle to move the seat back, it was fine. I then pull the handle to move the seat foward and this metal wire/strip breaks in half. Now I cant move my seat back and forth without using two hands and being very careful not to pinch a finger or two.

Is there anyway to fix it, or do I have to find a junked seat and try to replace that "wire"?

um, can you get some wire from Home Despot and cut/bend something that fits?

just go down to home depot and buy a bit of cable as well as 1 or 2 "cable ferrule and stop set" to hook it back together. the entire fix should be under 5 bucks

The factory wire has a lot of slack on it, which might allow you to get away with just re-bending the stock wire. If not, the follow the advice above.

i was just wondering, how often do you adjust your seat? i think i have adjusted mines once only when i bought the car. in anycase, its weird that the cable would break, my fc seat which is already partially rusting away still has its little cable intact
