someone plz help...i have nowere else to turn
hello everyone i just purchased a 94 fd and decided to do a few simple mods so it ran its best. i was replacing my vacuum hoses and had accidently broken the charge control seleniod nipple(i was being very careful and it still broke). i looked over the rack many times and dont see how i could get it off, i know others say its simple(just remove a few screws from each end). i am also looking for some help in replacing the seleniod, i dont know how it mounts on. i do not have the best mechanical smarts and would very much appreciate some help!!!
i live in abbottstown pennsylvania so help from anyone in my area would greatly be appreciated...i will pay whatever you ask, in reason. i can not find any mechanics who will do house calls, and dealerships would charge me crazy ammounts even to bring it in. i would also be very willing to help, i just dont know where to start.
my rx7 hasn't been running for a month now and i am going into withdraw thinking i'll never be able to drive it again...plz someone help

IMO, it easier just to bolt the entire rack from the engine. The issue is you'll need to disconnect the fuel lines, but that's a minor heartache than trying to get the tiny screws off the rack (that are most likely more brittle at this point than some 200 year old glass).
Remove the coils. You'll see the bolts holding down the rack. You'll also need to unbolt the rack from the oil filler neck. You'll then be able to pull the whole thing out. IMO, unless you know what you are doing, preventive maintenance is just asking for problems. You may create more problem than solve (as you are finding out).

Post in the NE section and ask for help:

There is also a list of mechanics in the area if you look at the top of that section.

there are very few people who know what they are doing...
don't mean to be cruel, but expect more heartache when working down there. there are very few people who haven't broken a solenoid working in the rats nest.

As far as Google map is concerned, you are about 100 miles from me (from my house to the center of your town). KD Rotary is not close to you and I don't know of any rotary shops in Harrisburg, which seems to be the closest major city to you. Send me a pm. I enjoy driving and would like to get to know more about this so called "State Of Independance"
I used to live in San Diego also and, was also in The Military, was stationed at 32nd street. This was a while back though.
