Someone else is touching her.....

And I can't sleep! I work full time and go to school full time. My clutch went after my last auto x, and I have already missed an event. I can't get the time off to go home and fix it. I'll get evicted if I do something like that out in the parking lot at my apartment. So I've got my baby at a local shop, and I have been having dreams, I **** you not. The mechanic is on day 3. I can't wait to have her back with me. Anybody else get like this when someone else touches their wankel? I'll let my sister work on is, but she is under my direct supervision. God I can't take this.

If you were me you would make daily trips 40 minutes to the shop to get an update rather than call and ask! lol Seriously!

At least I'm not the worst. This could be clinically defined as a disability of sorts.

I don't mind taking the car to a Rotary shop... at least they know how to take care of it... but a regular body shop... will they actually "Test Drive" your car to make sure the fender is straight??.. I am scared :~

It's not that I don't trust the guys.... I just don't like not having the car in my possession! My last car was stolen from my house after a night at the track. Plus, I usually am super excited to drive it when it runs good fro a couple of weeks until something else breaks! lol Right now it sits in the garage......

Ugh. A sister should not be touching her brothers wankel. That's just one step short of inbreeding.

teaching the sis how to work on the wankel is great. I can just sit back now and watch her do most of the work.

This thread is tooo funny. I feel the exact same way as all you guys, but hey it can't really be helped. I just HATE it when other people "test drive" my car w/out my direct permission.

The shop I take mine too, the tech rides shotty and I do ALL the test drives. That way they know whether it's made a difference since I'm the driver and can also observe its condition.

Wow, glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Actually, I take a snapshot of the odometer when I drop off the FD at shop to do work I can't do...

I know how you feel.

I hate when people, like my friends, look around the car and sit inside to see how it feels or something let alone some mechanics touch it when you're NOT there.

Thats why when i bring my car to the shop, i write down the mileage before i leave lol. No ferris bueller riding in my car hehe.

Well its like this. I dont let No one touch my Booze or my FD... I dont let it leave my sight. When i go anywhere. Unless its locked in my garage... I change the oil myself after 1000 miles. . I heard some dude took his to a shop and the dude working on the car totalled it out. WTF!!! i had some dude wanting to paint my car and was buggin me for weeks. Then i told him if he did do the work that I would take out parts of the car so it wouldnt move and he quit calling and bugging me.. LOL Damn sneaky Squirrel. I guess he was thinking he would drive it all over the damn place and then say someone stole the car... I was born at night but not last night.

I learned that the hard way. Found out that when my car went for a test ride, in ended up at a Dunkin' Donuts. Needless to say, my service ended up being free and the employee paid for ALL of it!

3 Days? Damn man. I usually do ALL the work on all my cars. I wont let anyone touch anything I own, but a few months ago my 4Runner needed a clutch, and I just didnt have time to get it done, seeing as it was my DD, so I took it in to a transmission place that does lots of hotrods etc... and they had it done in 5 hours. FYI, 4Runner clutch is harder than FD due to it being 4x4. Whats taking them so long?
