what the hell is wheel hop????? can someone please describe it to me in detail???

 

wheel hop sounds exactly like what it is. it happens usually during launching your car. symptoms include: rear wheels hopping (up and down) quickly while you do a clutch drop. Wheel hop is notorious on FDs.

 

You'll know it when it happens. It is very painful the first time...

 

your wheels bounce like basketballs. your wheels land spinning so you go from almost nill force to a multiplied force. as you can imagine force multiplication on your axles and drivetrain is not a good thing. boinga boinga boinga SNAP.
