Some smog questions

Ok, did some searches this is what I came up with.

My car failed Test only CA, I'm all stock, with a rebuild last Nov.

HC: 2 over the limet at 15MPH
NO: 200 over the limet at 15MPH

After my forum search I'm gunna do this:
1) Dump the precatch purge tank
2) Add some denatured alcohol to the gas before the test.
3) New plugs

My question is, flushing the fuel system after the test, I dont want my "quick fix" to screw my car up after the test is over. Is it a big problem? How do you go about flushing the fuel system?

Any other suggestions I'd take any/all I can get. My car has been runing great.

I think the easiest way to do it is get the car down to about 5 gallons in the tank, then drop in 1-1.5 gallons of alcohol and go do the test. After the test go immediately to the gas station and fill it up with premium to dilute the alcohol.. short of that you will have to drain the gas tank and flush the system. Not really worth it, alcohol is hard on rubber so just go on a long drive and get it all used up as soon as you can.
