It was done in an indoor studio in Irvine as part of a clothing ad. One of the perks for letting them use the car was that they gave me a few professional shots of the car by itself.

perfect except for the pinch rails! nothing a little black-out tape can't fix

i agree, the camera must be amazing, but i believe 35mm film has no resolution because it is analog. you can't really compare the two directly from what i've heard.

These pictures leave no doubt that the FD3 in its original form is one of the most beautiful cars ever built.

the only thing that compares to a 35mm film (out right now) is the canon EOS 5D. This is a FULL FRAME meaning the chip they use inside the camera is the same size (35mm) as a 35mm frame. Thus, lenses are now the same too (i.e 45-55mm lens being normal, 28mm lens being wide, 135mm being telephoto). The biggest advantage to this is the wide angle lens. I think canon makes another full frame camera, but i could be wrong about that.

Hey Aristo... still enjoying the brakes you shoulda put on this car!

It's almost creepy how similar our cars look, but only at first glance I suspect. Really looks great!!

The EOS 1Ds Mk. II is the other full frame camera they make. 16.7MP, usually goes for ~$3500 for the body.

Hey Peter, thanks. I'll get a set of those brakes as soon as my finances are put back in order.

Your car looked great at 7stock 9! You ended up winning 1st place right? (I am not sure if anyone was awarded anything, left too eairly ) Was it also there last year at 7stock 8 or was that someone else?

Right after 7stock 9 I went to the Best Buy car show in Tyler and heard someone saying you would be there. Good you didn't show up though because it was a complete bust

just read on their website, their 1Ds MK 2 is NOT full frame. it's very close. It's 27.xxxmm. So far, only the 5D is full frame! way to go canon!

Perfection. Total Perfection.

I felt bad having wasted some people's time in the classifieds section but they really do suit the car well. I guess you could go with the BBS RG-Rs or maybe you could PM FDNewbie about a set.

The rear emblem definitely needs replacing. I never quite took a liking to the 99 wing, and would be hesitant to drill into the hatch anyways. I was hoping to get a Mazdaspeed carbon lip on the car before the pictures were taken, but that didnt pan out. If anyone has any suggestions on what they would add/change I'd really like to hear (don't worry about being too negative, it's just feedback).

GoodfellaFD3S, that means a lot since it seems you really love your car. If I recall, you used to have a picture of it in your signature (with you sitting in it) that took up about an 1/8th of a page!
