some question i've been wanting to ask?

first of all, give me a good reason staying with auto over manual...seriously, is there any better way to modifiy or change any trani specs in a auto that is better than an 5speed. if not than ima do the manual conversion?

secondly, can i trust Rick's Rotory in the bay area?? i talk to this guy that has an fd3 like mine and he say when he took it to Rick the first time he bought the car, ...they kinda miss up or somting. and anyone around the valley ever been to MidNightSport, and if so are they good at rotory and do MNS take warrenty???

third, who in here "rx7 club" is a well known mr.rotory ase certified machanic?? i know most of the people here are good if not best in every other sites, but does anyone think they know who that someone is?

thanks...

about the only thing an auto would be better for is for drag racing. of course the stock fd tranny would be killed in 1 launch w/ an fd built to drag. ive heard of stage 1, 2, 3, ect auto trannys for an fd but im not sure if the are still the stock tranny or a diffrent one. but if your gonna take the time to build your tranny up, you will probablly just want to go w/ a 5speed swap.

I'd like to hear what Rick messed up. I've talked to and read testimonials from a ton of people that have had work done with Rick and I haven't heard about any complaints (which really is kind of amazing).

He's also done a ton of work on the car I now own prior to my purchase and I can't find fault in anything so far (I've had the car around a month).

You could always take it to your trusty local Mazda dealer!

There are a ton of other choices in the Bay Area, SR Motorsports in Brentwood, C2 in Hayward, M2 in Concord, and since I'm from the East Bay I'm not too familiar with stuff on the Pennisula or down in San Jose.

I'd be curious to know what issue there was with Rick's Rotary too. I've had my car serviced there a number of times and I've probably spent a good couple hours talking to him and he definitely knows his ****. He's not cheap to go, but I'm confident in his work and would recommend him to anybody.

Rick is a good mechanic and a good, honest guy. Not too many of those around. I've been going to him for 2-1/2 years.
