Some Noobie Questions.

First off let me start by saying that I was not planing on taking on this project alone. Im in the middle of pulling my motor and I cant seem to get the motor to part from the transmission. so here are my first few questions.

How many bolts hold the bellhousing to the motor?

If its the throw-out bering how do i get it out?

and where can I get a book for the car Autozone doesnt seem to have one?

Sorry for wasting your time with this I kinda got bailed on halfway through.

Start by getting the FSM (Factory Service Manual):

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-archives-73/tech-manual-directory-614824/

There are no Haynes or other kinds of manuals for this car. Even though the FSM's are available online, I would still recommend buying one from Mazda to have a hard copy on hand by the car. The FSM will show you the bolts for the bellhousing.

The transmission is connected to the engine via a throwout bearing locked in place with a wedge collar. You can either unlock that mechanism to separate the two or you can undo the bolts for the pressure plate to the flywheel through one of the tranny inspection plates. Either one will allow the tranny to separate through the engine.
