Some hope for those wanting a rhd fd

i just saw this thread on honda-tech

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1352982&page=1

the car guy a rhd crx in CALI! it's fully street legal. Look at the CHP assigned vin..

the car is street driven registered and does not have a lifted vin from some other car...alll this in CALI!

if the owner gets pulled over he is legal and has nothing to worry about...he's got a legit vin, the car is registered, everything is clean. just wanted to post this up in the 3rd gen section because there might be some loopholes to get a rhd fd here and im thinking the honda guys have figured them out but have kept them quiet (since there's so many more honda owners trying to get a jdm car over here)

There's nothing illegal about RHD cars. What's illegal are cars that haven't been DOT tested (i.e. they are from a different year than what was DOT tested for US importing.. like a 2002 RX-7 verses a JDM '93).

you're still comparing a crx to an fd...a crx is pretty easy to get legal with the right paperwork. its not as hard as people make it seem...i've sold 3 rhd's in the past....and currently i have a rhd fd for sale.
