Some help pleaseeee......

to make a long story short a drunk driver hit my car about three weeks ago and im in the process of getting all my parts together and am going to start the fixing her prolly at the end of the month when i get some time but anyways my car was hit in the front and in the back and PLEASE dont ask me how he did it cause my door was actually spared, both hits on the driver side, i have pics below and you can see the specfic area i need help with, and i need to know if its possible just to replace that damaged section or is the only fix to that would be heating and straighting it back out, i really would like just to buy that section or the entire assembly that is under there and replace it, can somebody please let meknow what my options are with this, and by the way just stopped at the dealer today and picked up the new quarter panel, very nice piece....i am having problems uploading this thread with the pic attached so im gonna post this and then try to add it

make sure your pic isn't too big, that may be the problem if your trying to attach it to your message....if it is, either change it in photoshop, or host it on a webpage post the site using the IMG button.

If you're getting a DB error, it's this whole server. I've been trying to UL pics over the last couple of days.

This server isn't a good servant anymore.

Perhaps it's because you tried to use 100,000 words in one single sentence. Try writing it again, this time in English.

What do you need to know?

Side damage:

Front damage:

Fixed so you really can't ever notice, even if you tried...

I thought you said it was hit in the front too.

Fixing the body is pretty much the same process anywhere, doesn't matter if it is front or rear.

Good luck, "heating and pulling it"8)!

yes also hit in the front but i just need to find out what my options are as fas as fixing the back, its just that on the rear the quarter panel is cut and there is a gap between that and almost where the side of the taillight touches the quarter panel and you can see some metal that is usually covered up by the quarter panel, i WILL have the pics up tomorrow hopefully so its easier to see what im sayin

I'm serious. Nobody here is gonna read the **** you've been writing. Use sentences and space out into paragraphs. And kids wonder why they need to pass senior English.

Well, now you are wasting my time. But I am trying to be helpful (not polite, but helpful) since I'll bet very few others actually re-read your post enough for comprehension. You're lucky turbojeff replied - he is the guru of FD wreck repair - but you may have trouble getting anyone to do the work he does unless you do it yourself.

Those have got to be the worst pics in the world.

People, when you take pics of a wrecked car don't get so close up. Step back a few feet so we can tell what we are looking at.

Anyway that car needs a new 1/4 panel skin for sure. The panel behind it is available new also. It might be able to be straightened out but the pics are so close up we can't see anything.

sorry turbojeff if the pics are bad but i took two up close so you can see exactly what im talking about, and the second pic i backed up a little so you could see the gas door so you would know what you are looking at. Thats the only area where you can see behind the quarter panel and thats what my question was about but sorry about the pics ill take a bunch next time some up close and more far back. anyways yea the quarter panel is definitely done, i picked up my new one yesterday from the dealership. But you said that panel that you can see bent from the pics is also available new, what is it called and do you know a ballpark price off the top of your head, i really wouldnt mind just getting it new then having to straighten the old one, but then again it will prolly be better to see once i have the quarter panel off. Could you just let me know what the part is called, then ill just go from there. Thanks again for the help turbojeff

You cant tell well from the pics, but i expect it to be on the safe side. $4000-4500 to weld on a 1/4 is what you should expect a good shop to have it fixed and painted(paint 1/4 blend and clear whole roof and blend the door along with the hatch). Its not as easy as it seems. Have the car measured and pulled correctly by a frame or body shop first. If you weld the 1/4 on and relize that its not right you be in a real bad spot.

Im getting the whole car painted a new color during this, so i dont have to worry about having to get the car blended. And thanks for the tip about the 1/4, this whole thing is definitely going to take some time, but its gonna get done right and be BEAUTIFUL when its done!
