You do realize that there are many production cars w/piston motors than run faster than that stock.
Whatever motor you like better is your choice, personally I don't care what you like. But if you have enough ***** to hang a piston, you'd better have something sitting in your driveway that is competent enough to show why.
Looking at these threads with an unbiased opinion, I am starting to see why Jim Lab gets pissed off at everyone.
SHUT THE **** UP

I'm gonna post one last time here. No blaming Canada bullshit, I'm not falling into that trap with you guys. (Many LS1 guys on here think rotaries suck that are American, but, nice try on the Canadian theory though)
Straight up, I like the FD, think the motor sucks. I've been through the ups and downs with this motor, and I personally can say it sucks. I'm not blaming anyone for liking the motor or the car. You hang a piston in a picture, well, hey, you're gonna draw some attention.
No more 10 pages of this. Bring the FD's with the rotory...because that's what this is rotary vs piston.
I can't wait to see you guys try to hook the Independent rears on the street. We don't race 3 beeps @40MPH B.S. It's an actual 1/4 mile on the street from a dead stop.
I'm finished with replying back and forth making this 100 pages long. You don't need to take a few weeks of work you can do it in a weekend.
Bring the car here and prove to me why a rotary is better, straight up. Don't post if you can't back it up.
Let's get together and do this.
I'll be waiting for your PM Goodfellow. Don't type anymore B.S. boys, bring the cars and prove it.
Dude, I have many things I would rather be doing with my time then driving to visit you, sorry. Let me know if you're ever down in my neck of the woods.

I take it Hardbodeez is a domestic lover.

Which explains his "Complaint" about IRS.

Which explains his love for "Pushrod" power.

Which explains why he's...well...irritated by a small picture and well...pretty simple-minded.

FD wasn't designed for the 1/4 mile you drag queen. IRS, weight balance, and yadda yadda was meant to do it all.

Rock on Joe, sorry this fool had to dummy up the thread.

When we all meeting up?

I remember my first FD, back when i was 16. Now im searchin for a R-1 or R-2 model right now. Sigh...so many to choose from! The insurance and payments killed me on my first one. Im now 18, and still searchin and owning them. Cant go wrong, if it aint a rotor it aint a motor.

holy crap, i remember this one insurance company quoted me 4000 a year for a comprehensive coverage on a civic coupe.. (wtf??) ... i was 17 ish

I'm 22 now and I pay maybe 1300 ish a year for both my civic and the FD (comprehensive too )

so i guess my point is to stay away from cops and tickets and it wont be so bad.

My first car that I bought out of school was a 79 first gen that I sold years later with over 400k original miles and was still running just fine. Since then, I have been through 3 more. I even sold my domestic to help finance the last one. By the way, how many pistons would it take to actually hang a rotor? How much horsepower does your LS 1 has? If you are gonna hang it out there, give some numbers.

I know this race is not against a 7 but this just shows you how reliable an LS1 motor is
