so I installed a tranny brace...

I took my FD for a test run without the bonnet a few weeks ago and noticed the engine really moved around quite a bit so I thought OK time to get new engine mounts, I alos found my gear stick had quite a bit of movement whilst driving as well so until I get my mounts I thought I'd try a tranny Brace.
Now I bought a dampner and bolted up the brackets etc etc.... Walla installed.

The car steering now feels a lot tighter ( like a lack of power steering) and the gear stick is a lot more solid , gear changing all seems pretty much the same.

Are these normal results after doing this mod?

Can a tranny brace be too tight? if so what are the symptoms of it being too tight?

I actually think it feels quite good to me,but maybe someone could shed some light on how the steering ( and other stuff) should be feeling when its right.

Rotary Extreme had some, similar to the feed ones, with a Shock Absorber, but made to fit with the ABS system, which the Original Feed won't...

The picture on the right is a tranny brace - on the left is an engine brace.

When I installed my tranny brace(2nd pic) I got crazy vibrations at higher RPMs. It was my bandaid fix until I got my urethane mounts installed. Personally, I can't wait to rip the damn thing off.

ummmm oops sorry guys, I meant ETB, sorry bout that.
Anyways, last night I added some rubber bushes to the bolts at each end to give it a little dampening and it feels a little dfferent again, not as tight but still a lot more solid than without the ETB.
Like I said, what are the implications on steering , suspension etc....under high load with a solid ETB ( undampened)?
