Something to do with preventing water from getting in? I think or something related to that anyway.

I was told once what they were for specifically...It had to do with either keeping moisture out, or getting moisture out once inside...I cant remember which though.

PS. Dave Chappelle is the man!

Did you get the real OEM lights?

How much did they cost you total?

They don't really "keep moisture out", they allow moisture inside the assembly to escape, so that the lenses don't fog up inside. But yes, leave them alone.

Yeah...it's to equalize temp/humidity, etc so that there's no formation of condensation, etc.

Uh...there is going to be "oxidation" happening regardless because the tube lets air pass through...

They look to me like OEM; the knockoffs have a cheap-looking cylindrical lens for the turn signal, and the black cover inside the assembly is smooth (the knockoffs have a sharp angle). I could be wrong, though....

Yeah Ebay has some replica 99 signals that actually look more like the authentic 99 specs. Before you could tell if they were replicas or not since the black housing part on replicas are more squarish while the authentics are more curved.

But in the replicas above, they also have curved housings as well.

those macaroni shaped things are attatched to some sort of pressure chamber, its ususally not needed. but it keeps the lenses from foggng up from the inside.

the pressure chamber fits in the middle of both lights, i've bought 2 sets of oem and 1 set of replica, and never saw these pressure chambers untl i saw them when mazdamike bought a set
