So I don't reprogram ECU with more boost?

Running the PFC and was wondering if I need to reprogram fuel and ignition maps with more boost. Was told that if PFC is programmed correctly (mine was programmed by SR), that it drops into a lower 20x20 grid, giving more fuel I guess. Is this true?

Yes, that is true -- if the unit is tuned correctly, you don't need to reprogram for higher boost. You only need to reprogram when you change the flow characteristics of the system.

However, unless you have had the unit dyno tuned to your car with a wideband, the cheapest and most reliable way to get more power is to have it tuned for your particular car. All cars are different, so base tuning can only get you in the ballpark.

I sort of have the same problem. I am going with a pfc but i'm not sure whether i should buy it tuned or buy it and then have it tuned specifically for my car.
Keep the thread going!!
