So I did My Vacuum lines.....Grief!

I just finished changing my vacuum lines to blue silicone lines. I also polished my UIM and TB while they were off. I changed my fuel filter as well. Now I have a problem. When I started my car, I found that the idle hunts from about 1300rpm to 1700 rpm for a bit then jumps up to 2000 even when it is warm. I can calm it down a bit with a tap on the gas pedal but it goes back to it eventually. If I push in the clutch or turn on the lights it will change the idle as well. I didn't tamper with the settings on the TB either when I polished it. Whats my grief!? Help! Thanks guys Oh ya i checked some threads allready.......

I had similar problem. I fount out that the small hose that goes from pcv valve to UIM has split. I also could hear whooshing sound when i was accelarating.

You can give it a shot and check your hoses especially the ones that connect to UIM

Fixed the prob.... all I had to do was adjust the throttle linkage. It sure is picky! I was out about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn and that is all it took to run like crap. Thanks anyway guys
