sniffer test questions

ok, i am moving back to pa in a couple weeks and i have just found out that my area now has emission testing.before i purchase another fd i need to know if any single turbo setup can pass it.I dont think that a visual test is done.my last fd had a dp,hiflow cat ,rb cat back,m2 stage 3 ecu and a twinpower.I kept the airpump on the car, would this setup have passed?i dont know any shop that can FIX the test.

There is an A-Spec single turbo kit that has a low-rise manifold and still retains the air pump for emissions purposes. This kit, along with a healthy cat and air pump, and a little tuning to the PFC should pass the test (otherwise why would they make the kit??)

As far as the visual inspection goes, they have to do an informal visual test to attach the RPM wire. Now whether or not the tester cares what your engine bay looks like is up to him/her.

There is no reason to fail a sniffer no matter what external mods you have, assuming your tuning is perfect and you have an airpump and a healthy cat.
