Thumbs down SNAFU at Chevron! Need some help!

Today before work I went to Chevron to do my usual fill up. As usual, I put 6-8 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil in an empty tank. I pay for my gas and try filling it up. I hear other people in the station complaining that they cant get gas. I realize that I cant get gas either. WTF! Theres like 7 people in the station complaining...and ive got an empty tank with just MMO in it. ****! First they say 5 minutes...and then they shut down the whole station and say it'll be an hour and refund everyones money. Im complaining that all i have i additive in my tank and 10 minutes later they finally decide to drive me to a station with a 1 gallon tank.

I get 1 gallon of 91 at the next Chevron and go back to put it in my tank. Car starts fine but I gotta drive my car one mile on a tank that has 8 fl. oz of MMO and 16 of 91. **** im running on 33% 2 cycle engine oil! I fill up my tank and get on the freeway and try to haul *** but the car is bogging down real nasty.

What kind of damage could have been done to my car, and if so, is there any way I could make a claim against Chevron?

Dont know if you did any damage...look at plugs though..

I'd say you chevron didn't tell you to add MMO...so I'd say you dont have a case...

I don't know what kind of damage you could have done, though I'd think that after a bit more driving your car may come back to normal. I would think that your injectors might need a little time to unclog from trying to push so much oil through them.

As far as Chevron goes, there's no way in hell you can file a claim against them. Suing a gas station because they don't have any gas avail for you at the moment is definitely not going to fly...

You could try, but I think you'd spend more time trying to explain to them why you were adding oil to your gas than the gas card would pay for

You probably didn't damaged the engine. Marvel Mystery Oil when used in piston engines is used to help lubricate areas where regular oil can't reach as well as keeping lifters free and prevent corrosion. I was also told that putting MMO is the fuel in ok, just don't make it a common practice. But the concentration that you put in is serious strong. My suggestion would be to get the fuel system cleaned. Dump some fuel system cleaner/injector cleaner in the tank for a good couple of weeks. Do the ATF trick also. Oh, you may want to check your spark plugs and the injectors...this may be a good sign of what happend internally. Lemme know if you need help because I live near you.

Isn't MMO's main ingredient ATF? It sure looks and feels like it. You probably just gave your car an ATF treatment, although your injectors probably didn't appreciate the delivery method.
