Smoking tailpipe after car off...?

Hi Guys...

I noticed my Tailpipe was smoking after a drive and short amounts of boost here and there.

The Garage I used stank a little too...What could this be? The turbos seem decent in power but not sure what this symtom can be...

Thanks for the replies... jc.

How is smoking while idling?
If smoking, the turbine side seal is worn out.

As for FD, changing turbocharger unit is very expensive.
If the side seals or thrust metals of the turbine are worn out,
smoking while just idling not while accelerating.

I recommend you to have it checked by a proffesional.

I had a brief look underneath the car yesterday and it
seems to be the rear turbo or secondary with some oil around the outer turbo casing.

But driving the car: It still makes good boost on primary
and the secondary seems decent. And does not smoke
at idle.

I think if I get more into the second turbo it will smoke after I stop it.

Should I just change the rear turbo cartriage?
