Smoke, lots of smoke!

Hi All,

After having my car in the drive way for about a week, i went to start it yesterday and it didnt want to. It took about 5 shots at holding the key and listening to her chug over. eventualy she started and the amount of smoke was just unreal.

It literaly tubed out of the 4" dump pipe for around 30 seconds (filled my street) and was still visibly coming out after around 3 mins (or until hot).

I realise that a puff of smoke at start up is normal, but this is wrong.

Smoke was blue.
2nd turbo is not exactly healthy (apparent during the last few weeks)

Could this be a the turbo's leaking oil back into the housings making it need to burn the oil off before normal operation?

Any other ideas? I do have engine oil in the engine bay that leaks after a drive.

The engine feels fine.

thanks.

sounds like oil burning off in the exhaust system. it can be coming from either the turbos or the engine. an *easy* way to check to see if it is and internal engine oil seal is to park it for the night, remove a lower spark plug and stick a borescope into the hole and turn the engine so you can see the bottom of the housing. if there is a small puddle of oil there that is your problem. it could always be a combination of both though. take off your turbos and inspect them. they might just need to be replaced.
