smoke from engine bay

Well today i was messin with all the hoses again and i found that the little rubber gasket that connects to the plastic intercooler pipe and the y-pipe(im guessing) had a MASSIVE slit in it. Well i went to lowes and got a 3inch rubber piece to put around it. Well after all that was done the car didnt make the huge wooshing sound anymore and ran pretty good...about 8 psi compared to my pervious 5 and at one time i got 10...so my boost problems are getting better. Anyway once we got done raisin hell we sat there letting it cool down...well we started seeing a little smoke actually enter the car and immediately shut it down. We popped the hood and saw a little bit of smoke comming from the primary turbo area. I dont know if it was the turbo but i hope not. Then we heard the liquid swishing sound...i dunno if that's normal or not. But the car is cooling as we speak and im about to go start it and see if everythings ok. I did spill some antifreeze in the engine bay today but it was on the other side. Anyone know what this could be?

Smoke after beating on the car, anyone want to take a guess here. M A P sensor probably came off. And that was probably the sweet smell off gasoline.

The liquid sound came from right around the filler neck area, right? This is coolant BOILING from the insanely hot turbos. Let these cool down a little before shutting down, especially after raising hell. The smoke might be the oil from the primary that had blown all over the place from the slit Y-pipe connector burning off now that the system is getting properly hot. Did the smoke smell like oil? Or coolant (PRAY NOT! Split turbo hose equals engine fire!)?

Also, you only wrapped a piece of rubber AROUND the connector? So you still have the slit, just covered up? Uh uh. You need to replace the whole rubber connecting pipe. You will see 10 psi again, I bet! Remember, this is the FIRST place we are told to look from the turbo troubleshooting page...

Boy, don't I sond like I know what I'm doing? Jeez... not even 200 posts yet! Maybe I ougha just STHU!!!

Well what we did was this....we electrical taped the slit...then put the rubber piece over it. LOL yea i know it's just a half *** job but i didnt know where to get anything like that....so i went to lowes and got one for like 3 bucks for a temporary fix. It pulls a lot harder though..so that's good...but thanks for the info on the smoke..i thought i blew the damn car up.

Ok Well it does smell like oil burning...and after it stopped smoking a tad i cut it off....i raised hell again today to see if it was just a one time thing or not. Well We took the intake dump tube off one of the BOV's and i reved it when i cut it back on and there was a little bit of smoke comming out of the BOV. So if this means anything other than what u guys told me just let me know. Im new to these damn things so i realy dont have a clue right now. Thanks guysl
