What other mods did you have? ECU, fuel, IC, etc.

Poured 2 gallons into a half tank. Drove around for about an hour. Went back to the station and passed. No other mods, just downpipe.

I am kind of new to the 7, but I thought that a downpipe alone will not cause you to fail emmissions. I am about to install one on my 7, but I want to still be able to pass emmissions. Has anyone else had problems passing with a DP?

Denatured alcohol does work wonders for passing those tests... I dropped my emissions by about 95% by running it in a 1:6 (alc:gas) ratio with high octane gas.

You can get it at hardware stores. Lowes or Home Depot has it.

if you leave alcohol in gas too long, it will slowly dry up your fuel hoses.

if you are talking about running the car with it, i think too much alcohol in gas could cause problems.

ive tried the ratio of 1 gallon of alcohol to 2 gallons of gas before and had to drain it due to terrible bucking/surging.
