SMIC Upgrade with out PFC running 6lbs

I currently am only running 6-7psi of boost (Stock wastegate) on a non-Suq setup

Here is the list of mods

Downpipe
Intake
MP
Cat-Back
Super Ported Wastegate (Went a little to big, also doesnt seal)

I dont have ANY problem Keeping the boost creep at bay, Max i have ever seen was 7.5 and that was a long run.

Now to my question, i heard even if you are not running high boost that with a intercooler upgrade you are asking for problems with leaning out, do to the fact that the cooler air as more O2 in it for the motor to burn with.

SO is this a fact or False?

Can i get away with a upgraded SMIC, i will be going to a powerFC sooner than later but i just cant afford it right now, i am dam near getting this SMIC for free.

I open the wastegates big also but I make a bigger door to seal the port .A leaking WG is costing you spool time and power .A bigger door is worth the work .So try to correct the problem .Good skill to you .
