My wipers move very slowly..
Has anyone had this problem?

 

I did at one time .I removed the motor and tried to buy new brushes but no one sells them .So I went to the auto parts store and bought a set for an alt and I cut them to fit .They have been in use for several years now .

 

I've never replaced brushes before. "alt" means alternator right? What kind/model did you buy, or are they universal? How much did you have to cut them? I Wonder if power tool brushes would work.

ALT= alternator , I found the box ,it had 3 brushes and I only needed two so I had the box .It reads RX131 brush set -WELLS MFG CORP - automotive parts .If I remember correctly they came from Advanced Auto Parts . How much to file down ,I did this several years ago ,and I do not remember what I did last week .
