I am hearing a slight ratling noise at idle (usually when I first start up car, then it more or less goes away) coming through the dash and a grinding noise when on very light throtle a c. 2500 rpm
I recently changed the brake return valve

Any ideas what to look for

need more info, does it grind when in gear only? what gears, which side of the car ?

This refers to a rubber mount on the brake booster line that there was a TSB on. I've never heard of it referred to as a "grinding noise" so I not sure if it's what your experiencing, but it might help.

It seems is coming from the driver side compartment, only in second gear around 2500 rpm
