slight coolant leak at start-up
I'm experiencing a slight coolant leak (2 Tablespoons) in the morning when I start my car. The dripping doesn't start immediately, it appears to coincide with the car reaching operating temperature - then it stops. It will only happen again if the car has been sitting for about 6-7 hours and will do the same thing only less drip. Hoses have been checked and my mechanic did a pressure test. The pressure cap is new and I had the AST removed some months ago (no leaking after that mod) The car is a 93 R1, 29k miles, with catback, downpipe, removal of AST and boost and temp gauges being the only mods. Meechanic and I are stumped

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I'm having this exact same problem... Deleted the AST and now there's a small coolant leak only on start up, and only after the car has been sitting for a while.
It looks like it's dripping from the lower radiator hose, but I don't think it is... I think it's dripping down to that location from somewhere else. It stops entirely after the car has a chance to warm up.
If the car is already warmed up and I start it, there is no leak.
Very weird, it sounds simple but I can't seem to locate where it's leaking from or why it's only leaking at start up???
