Sleepy popups, not sleepy eyes!

Hi, i've been offered some lights as shown in the pic below, does anyone know what make they are and whether they are sought after or something to be avoided.

They would go onto my red 1996 JDM FD Type-RS and would oviously be painted.

TIA

Wouldn't they still need to pop up higher than that, lest half the light is covered by the bumper?

The hood doesn't look to be closed all the way, if you use the fender as a reference point they look fine.

I'd run them. They look really good. Something different yet functional.

Not a fan of sleepy eyes. Really dont like the standards either.
Try getting this done as a option?

Those are the Knightsports headlights. they are about 40% lower than stock.

I agree that the sleepy eye mod would make you lights not function as they are supposed to but these are completely different.

The headlight is actually narrower, similar to NSX headlights, so they are pointing straight ahead, whereas the sleepy mod makes your lights point down at the ground.

Still in 2 minds about fitting them, I know that the light output is very good, I started a similar thread on the UK forum and got a reply from someone who has them and he said the light output is farsuperior to OEM popups.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

I think they could look cool with a better light housing. Those look like sealed beams out of a 1980's chevy truck.

These would be awesome if they do in fact light up the road better than the stock ones. Here's another one that's similar, but I can't imagine these lighting the road very well.

Tell ya what SupraZed, if you don't want them hook me up with whoever has them. I'll slap a HID kit in them and give you all the credit. I think they look much better than the dual round lights seen above.

I agree, it wouldn't look too bad with an HID kit. I still don't mind the stock look though.

Yeah, but $1400 for a set of headlights???? Gimme a ******* break. What are they made of, platinum? They don't look THAT good. Even with the HID, that's too much. I'll stay with the stock ones with a dual beam HID 'fore I'll pay that.

They cost no more than any aftermarket headlight kit worth buying.
