Question size of stud holding precat / downpipe

Hi,

can someone tell me the size of the studs that hold the precat / downpipe (coming from turbomanifold) ? and the studs where the other side of the downpipe connects to the maincat.

I'll install my hks downpipe soon, so i want to buy thread taps, u never know, studs can always break.

thanks, Chris

I believe it's an M10 (x1.5) thread, but I recommend you try to search for your answer first.

What do plan to do with a thread tap?

If it breaks you'll need to remove the turbos to get to the backside of that stud and get it out. Or so I'm told. I just spent more time soaking in PB blaster so I wouldn't have worry about it.

I suggest you search this forum for 'broken downpipe stud' and read about others experiences.

It's how pros are made - searching.
