Simplified Seq./emissions Removal/whatever U Want To Call It! Help!!!
All right guys and/or girls This is driving me crazy. I want to do this mod to my newly rebuilt FD (that I proudly did myself!) but I'm a bit confused. And before anybody tries to slam me about using the search button, I know all about it. In fact, thats why I'm losing my hair. There is so much information about this mod that I'm not sure what to follow. And I've also tried to follow some of the links to site like "fd3s.cc" as well as others, but either there down or just leave me asking more questions. I've even found vac. Diagrams but some show conflicting info or look worse than the rats nest as it is!!
1st. of all:
I have a 93 touring mdl. with intake and exhaust street port. (with idle probs.)
Fuel pump mod. (still 2 speed)
Fuel pressure regulator removal, (Have aftermarket one set @ 40 psi)
fuel dampner removal,
3 bar MAP
Stock ECU, twins, and Turbo system.
Down pipe
Midpipd with High flo cat. with air tube connection.
Under drive alt and WP pulleys
Other stuff but irrelevant to issue.
(AIMING FOR 350 RWHP)
HERES WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO!!!
Instead of using block off plates, I plan on making block of gaskets to place between the AWS, egr, idle cntrl. etc. or whatever componets I choose to keep them pluged in to the ECU so I can eliminate the CEL and in case I want to change back later. I am also considering leaving the rats nest solenoids under the UIM plugged in but just re-routing the vac hoses and bypassing the unwanted solenoids for the same reason.
MY QUESTION IS:
For those of you that have successfully done this mod, Is there someplace I can find info on each individual system and the pieces or parts involved that will allow me to eliminate any system individually. including dual use componets if any?
Ex. I might want to rid myself of the AWS but not the Air Pump or EGR system because I plan on adding a hydrogen booster system down the line and I need that system to adapt it to the car. That being said, do they have any componets in common?
