Simple way to raise the seat?

My wife just bought the car and loves it.

It would be great if we could raise the seat another inch or so.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Cheers!

Get a seat pad to sit on would be pretty simple.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone trying to raise the seat in the FD, usually people are trying to lower it as much as possible. The seat pad would probably work though.

Get some longer bolts and some aluminum spacers and insert them between the seat bracket and the floor pan. Or a huge stack of washers would work!

I thought of the washers but I think that would interfere with safety in an accident.

Maybe some large spacers would work. Someone else mentioned that in a thread. I was just wondering if there was another way.

Do not do this. You'll compromise the strength of the joint.

I would look into stiffening the cushions in the seat bottom. Any auto upholstery shop can do this.
