Silicone Hose Help

I just got done doing the Rats nest and all to other old rubber hose's with some Silicone hose i got at a rice boy shop here. After i got it all done i took her and she ran better then it ever did, then when i was on the way home my car started to run like crap. When i open up the hood half of the hose was melted.

Can anyone tell me were and what kind of Silicone hose they use on there FD so i can get her fixed again.

Thanx

Most people use Hose Techniques (www.hosetechniques.com) or Baker Precision (www.bakerprecision.com). I used Hose Techniques, and the hoses fit really nice and seemed very high quality.

And they didn't melt either

The hosetechniques kit is $4 cheaper at mvp motorsports than at the hosetechniques website if u wanna check it out (http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/default.asp), but I'm unsure if shipping will be the same amount or not.

I doubt you got silicone hoses if they melted. (That sounds kind of fishy to me, I mean MELTED hoses? What the hell material did you buy?)

I say if you are going to do the hose job, do it with some viton tubing. You can get it from McMasters. Get the 60 durometer. The viton is more kink resistant than silicone and is not affected by gas and oil like silicone. The price of the tubing alone is about the same as buying the hose techniques kit. The best part of viton is it doesn't split easy like silicone. To me, the only con is it is only available in black.
