Signs of a bad clutch

I think my clutch is going, but I'm not sure. It's not slipping yet, but it does smell like clutch after driving in traffic. Are there any other signs to look for?

If it the engine will rev without the car accelerating (slipping) your clutch is going out.

Mine does that too, before and after I got a new clutch, so I don't think that is an indicator. I replaced mine with OEM too, the original one was basically worn out although it hadn't started to slip, so I wouldn't go by the smell if its not slipping.

you'll get a smell of gunpowder and it will be especially noticeable when you stop driving. that's the biggest clue for clutch wear, once it starts slipping you'll definitely know it's worn.. but its also too late. your clutch is going to kick the **** very soon
