Sick tri-rotor
Hey guys,
I have a 94 RX7 with a Tri-Rotor built by Defined Autoworks. I'm struggling to get it to run right. Please check out the following video where you can hear it run and see the gauges:

Any constructive input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Erik

Electromotive Tec3R. Tune by Defined Autoworks (I believe).
I'm resurrecting an old laptop with a serial port so I can connect to the Tec3R. Is it possible that the tune was deleted off the Tec3 R somehow?
I was able to get the original tune from the prior owner of the car. Would be great if I just need to reload the tune. I just need to somehow learn how to work with the Tec3R.
Thanks for the help guys. Really hoping to help my son get this car running right again.

Not familiar with that ecu but it should keep the tune without an issue. I've used the usb to serial adapters with good luck if you can't get an old laptop working. What's the history on the car? bought it like this or did it run right at some point? Changed anything after you got it? If it's sat for a long time pull the plugs and have a look/replace them but it sure sounds like a tuning issue. Oh also make sure the plug wires are going to the proper leading and trailing locations.

"I'd swap the ecu. It was decent a long time ago. A 3 rotor deserves better now. Keep it protected with fail safes."
regardless of what is currently going on i strongly suggest you enter the 21st century and dump the Tec3.
running a 3 rotor w a Tec3 is like having a Ferrari with a Vega 4 cyl.
recommend either a Haltech 2500 Elite or AEM Infinity.
