Yea that's one thing I learned right off the bat...the car just is NOT smooth when you're just schmoozin along. 2nd gear is real jerky...and only way to really shift smooth is to shift @ higher revs...

I'm sure there are other causes of this condition, but cleaning the stock grounds helped mine a bunch.
You guys need to oil your throttle cable or something, I don't have these super jerky light throttle issues.
Also, this is with solid diff mounts, pineapple 6 puck clutch, and jun 8.5 lb FW.

But I was actually talking about 2nd gear being real jerky when you vary the amount of gas you give it...like slightly take your foot off the gas, and it'll jerk, and slightly apply gas again, and it'll jerk...

I notice that on my FD too.
The car just doesn't want to like to be driven slow... Too jerky compare to my bros. S14 and AE.
Check all ground. And even add some ground to it.. and still jerky.. Mostly on 2nd and 3rd only

Mine it's really focused in 2nd. And I never thought it was a problem, granted that if you read the Car & Driver 02/92 issue, the article called "Speeding Beauties" (http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rdgen/arti...0292/index.htm)
one of the main reasons why the rx7 was rated #2 behind the 300zx (#1) was "lurchy throttle response." they said "flow of power is a bit jerky when the throttle is first opened or closed, though"
and i think i read something very similar in a MT review of the same year... that basically the car didn't seem able to just be driven. it either stopped..or it WENT. not a cruising car lol
