i just replaced the koyo. after filling it all the way that i could when cold i started it up. well it didnt go down so i decided to take it down the street. buzzer came on then went off. so i turned around and past my house the other way. buzzer goes off again so i decided to head home when i realized that the stock temp gauge rocketed up to 3/4 the way up. i looked at my defi water temp gauge to see that it was still chilling and 190 or so. everytime i park my car water drips to the ground. could this be from possibly overfilling it(i filled it again after i stopped home) or even worse i popped an o ring. its a brand new freakin motor so and insight guys?

im hoping it is just water that has caught itself under the big *** tray. if that is the case then i will be happy. if it is an o ring then what worse can happen. id already need a new motor. plus the closest shop is two hours away.

Ok, first relax.. if all you did was swap the radiator then it is probably just air in the system. You need to "bleed" the air out of the cooling system when you do any work on it, just like the manual describes. You can't just fill up to the filler neck and go, most likely a lot of the coolant has drained from the motor as well when you took out the radiator. Warm it up to operating temp, then shut it off, raise the hood and let it cool off. Take off the filler neck cap, fill it up again, run it, cool it, fill it, repeat this over and over until the system is full. You were spitting coolant out of your car because there is air in the system that heated up and expanded rapidly, pushing out some coolant. It filled up the radiator right away when you filled it, but the thermostat was closed so there was still air in the motor. Unless you overheated the car you should be fine still, give it a shot and I bet you will be ok.

well im crossing my fingers, but its just that everytime i see water spilling out of the car its not coming from the AST, filler neck, or hoses. im fearing that its dead.
