Stupid Server!!

This is what I posted:

Hi Guys,

I was at Sevenstock last weekend, listening to the tech sessions. One of the guys mentioned that the stock fuel pump is only good for about 260 RWHP. I didn't get a chance to ask in detail about that. I am wondering if that may have been for a road racing application. I do the occasional autocross, and occasional street race. So far I have not noticed any problem.

My car has 51k, and probably has the original fuel pump. I have stock injectors, and don't plan on upgrading. I am guessing that the car has about 300 RWHP.

The stock fuel pump is supposed to flow up to .6 GPM (gallons per minute). Mazda Motorsports offers a 20B pump that flows .75 GPM for $312 with the same pressure.

Do I need a new fuel pump?

Thanks, Adam

The stock fuel pump flow enough for the mods and boost you are running. I've never heard of anyone having to upgrade the fuel pump for running 12-13 psi with the stock fuel injectors.

Check out the fuel calculators at www.rx7.com and www.maxcooper.com

I ran 15psi on stock injectors and pump maxing out the fuel system @ 100%. I'd guess I was 325 rwhp at 15lbs. This was street use only (not track). You can get a walbro for $120 from k2rd (easy cheap swap). One of my to do swaps yet to be done.
