Should I remove my Power FC?

I am doing a lot of work on my car i.e.. rewiring injectors, ignition, and a lot of other little things. So I am constantly unhooking the battery the reconnecting it to test out components. Would It be a good idea to remove my Power FC and hook up my stock ECU while i am doing all this work. I am not driving it at all and it seems like everyday now I read a someone saying they fried their Power FC and really don't want to take that chance.

I doubt you would, but really it takes all of a minute to unplug the ECU and can give good peace of mind. Just unplug it and have it handy to plug in when you need it.

Hey Dale, one minute? You don't have floor mats, carpeting, or trim moldings that have to be removed? No problems with locking tabs on the connectors? Wow... !

i can get mine out in about a minute. Take a flat head screw driver and twist it down to pop the harness free Pulling off panelling and molding doesn't take that long either....

Just install a circuit breaker under the hood, then just open the breaker when you need to rather than disconnecting the battery. Works great, I've had mine setup that way for a few years now.
