Should I get a boost controller or better plugs?
Right now I'm running 9s all around for my plugs. I know people have run colder plugs (10.5 or 11.5s) and have been able to put decent numbers for their mods (Goodfellas) - I don't have a boost controller right now. JUst wondering where my money is better spent. I know the PFC can control boost but have heard the Profec B does a nice job. I know people run 9s in highly modded cars. From what I've heard you have to run your car pretty hard with colder plugs. What do you think?

Well there is a huge price difference between buying 4 new plugs and buying a ProfecB. That being said my PFC does a good job of controlling boost for me right now, I installed the home depot bleeders just to help dial in the pre-spool perfectly and it works excellent. I am an advocate of keeping the electronic boxes to a minimum, and since you already have a PFC why not try and work with it first before throwing more money at the car? Sometimes simpler really is better, the Profec is an excellent controller but it could be overkill. Plugs are cheap in comparison, but I wouldn't be concerned about running colder plugs (colder than 9's) until you start running some high boost.. like 15psi and up.

I'm having my upgraded twins setup sequentially (they're setup non-seq. now) and will be running 15 psi - I know 15 psi can after time burn the 9s out - might go with the race plugs

I have a greddy profec which I installed last night. I also have a PFC and for me couldnt controll boost. Its running off all stock hoses and having the pill between the turbo and the wastegate is just a hazard.
Before I installed the greddy profec B I was spiking to 14 pounds. Now I can make my boost to what ever I want. No more spikes!!! For you spiking probably isnt a problem now that your running non-seq.
Having a the homedepot valve install is just a pain in the ***. Your boost varies in different weather. You have to get out of the car to adjust it. Sucks for racing.
As for the profec B it has 2 settings 1 for normal driving and another for higher boost (racing)
For me their in no such thing as overkill. I woudld rather spend 300 bucks and have it run perfect.
I am still running seq. so spiking is an issue.
