Should I buy new rotors?

Im about to do a rebuild and already bought new rotor housings from mazda trix. Im going singal with a 500R , and all the other goods. Should I just go with brand new rotors or try to use the old ones?

Im taking my car to pettit in April and havent tore down the engine to inspect them, so im thinking just to go new if im going with high horse power. Also if I do go new rotors I bought the rotor housings that were coated with their stuff.
Thanks jason

I'd ask Pettit what they think after they pull them out. They should be straight up with you about the condition and if you should resue them. You will always have slightly better and more even compression with new parts. But rotors can be cleaned up if they aren't damaged.

If they are in good shape, it is sorta a waist of cash. But I like new parts too!

Unless they are damaged there is no need to replace them, rotors dont wear, they basically float inside the housing. However, if your engine blew an apex seal then you can pretty much assume one rotor will be damaged and need replaced.

no need to replace the old rotors unless they are out of mazda tollerance or have signs of damage on them.

Thanks guys, I will wait till I get to pettit However I think one apex seal is blown, as of right now I have bad compression and the car is hard to start. So I don't know how bad its blown. Hopefully not to bad.

i wouldn't be starting and/or running it with poor compression in one rotor. if you have a cracked or broken seal, other pieces can move around and possibly wear the steels as well, plus the difference in compression will throw off the balance of the engine as it rotates against a resistance, then doesn't on another face; better to get it towed
